Culture - You will want to visit as many
of the museums and theatres in Ottawa that you can.
There are fantastic places to eat also with everything
from casual to fine dining. The cuisine is awesome
and the service is phenomenal. The theatres offer
wonderful shows from Broadway musicals to the Opera.
There are Ballet, Symphony and Orchestra shows for
you to enjoy also. There are special events held throughout
the year and one of the great ones is the Winterlude.
It is an annual winter carnival that is held in February.
When the Rideau Canal is frozen over they ice skate
on it too.
Another fine event is the Tulip Festival each May.
Ottawa receives a gift of several hundred thousand
tulips from the royal family of the Netherlands which
are then left around the city in various displays.
A very beautiful time to visit. Ottawa Chamber

is the world's largest festival of chamber music,
held annually. The Ottawa Senators (established 1992)
of the National Hockey League and the Ottawa Renegades
of the Canadian Football League for the sports fanatics
who love watching them. The choices for night life
are numerous. If you like music or comedy shows there
are plenty of places to go. On the other hand if you
love to dance you will find that there are also many
choices for that. Dressing up or down you will enjoy
wonderful evenings.
You will want to make every effort to take in as
many of the cultural aspects of the City of
Ottawa. It wil be an experience that you
will love and cherish for many years to come. Make
sure to see and do as much as possible while you are
in the area. No wonder so many Canadians call Ottawa
their home there is so much wonderful culutre all
around them.
